East Barnet Academy is specially designed for Year 2 to Year 6 pupils from any school. The pupils are split into age groups, Year 2 - Year 4 and Year 5 - Year 6.

 

Year 2 – Year 4
In these sessions, children build on their foundations by developing stronger technique, performance skills, and creative expression in a fun and encouraging environment. We help them gain confidence, work as part of a team, and explore their passion for the Performing Arts while learning age-appropriate skills and routines.

Year 5 – Year 6
In these sessions, students focus on refining their technique, performance skills, and artistic expression through more challenging choreography, scripts, and creative projects. We aim to stretch their abilities, nurture their passion for the Performing Arts, and help them grow into confident, expressive, and resilient young performers.

Each summer, students have the exciting opportunity to showcase their progress in a performance at a local theatre, alongside other schools, including Danegrove, providing a platform to celebrate their dedication and hard work.

For Year 2 to Year 6 pupils attending Danegrove School, JoRo teachers ensure a smooth and safe transition by accompanying students as they walk to East Barnet School to join the club. Any pupils attending from other schools will be met at East Barnet School.
